Hi, I’m Shana
I'm an artist who has finally made art a priority in my life. Like many creatives, life has taken many turns that didn't always leave much room to focus on my artwork.
The time has finally come. Now, I wake up each morning to create, to explore the world more deeply through art, and to share that with others. Connecting with others through teaching and creating brings a richness to my days and I am so grateful.
I hope to grow Umbrella Arts Academy to include not only my passion for watercolor but other mixed media arts. I want to serve students looking for space in their lives for the arts and all the benefits it can bring.
Art is also a family affair, these days. My children, especially my youngest, can be found in the studio right along side me. We learn and explore together. Sometimes I'm the teacher, sometimes I'm the student, and that is what makes art so wondrous.
I can't wait to go on this journey with you.
